We are back to exploring the breweries and distilleries in our DC neighborhood where the combination of water and grain are the fundamental ingredients of the beverage and its flavor.

For our event, we have selected a gin distillery considered as DC's best local gin and a very popular craft brewery. We will take a tour of the production processes, taste the beverage and meet some of the top brewers and distillers in the district.

In our upcoming event, we will get to explore one of those wonderful creations of a grain based beverage.

For our Saturday afternoon exploration, we have chosen a gin distillery and a small craft brewery in Ivy City in Northeast DC, within a short walking distance of each other.

Grain distillation

Our afternoon will start with a visit to the Green Hat Gin distillery, where we will meet at 1pm.

Green Hat Gin distillery offers free tours and tastings where we can taste their different seasonal editions of hand crafted gin, some of which are a good addition to any gin-lover’s bar.

Our next stop, will be Atlas Brew Works, a small neighborhood production brewery that produces hand crafted artisan beer in 20 barrel batches.

Atlas Brew Works offers tours and has a tasting room where we can taste their different seasonal brews and hand crafted artisan beer.

Note: The Brewery does not have a kitchen for food, but normally has food trucks available on Saturdays. You can bring your own food for a picnic, or order in from any local eatery.
