Getting to Know the Artists
We are going back to the Hamilton in Washington DC for a music concert that features Donavon Frankenreiter, Benjamin Jaffe (of HONEYHONEY) and Lisa Bouchelle.Donavon Frankenreiter
Donavon Frankenreiter is one of the most charismatic and soulful surfers in the world today and is music reflects the laid-back world that Donovan comes from.Donavon's new album, 'The Heart' officially marks the start of the singer-songwriter's second decade as a solo recording artist.
In his own words, the new album can be best described as "All these songs are as close to me singing from the heart as I can," He further adds, "It's a complete record; the songs are intertwined. I had to call it 'The Heart' that was the theme of the record."
Lisa Bouchelle
Lisa Bouchelle has sung backup for Bruce Springsteen and John Popper, and dueted in concert with Jon Bon Jovi. She is one of those rare artists who can make you laugh out loud one moment and have you in tears the next.She also hosts the syndicated TV show 'Rock Star Kitchen', which is seen twice weekly on The Comcast network in the mid-Atlantic region. As host of the show, she has talked music, and performed with, artists such as Foreigner, Eddie Money, Chubby Checker, Lita Ford, Candlebox and Night Ranger.
Benjamin Jaffe (of HONEYHONEY)
After releasing three albums as a member of HONEYHONEY, Benjamin Jaffe is returning to his roots as a solo artist.His new songs reflect a broad range of influences, from the polyphonic rhythms and improvisational freedom of jazz music to the soul and swagger of Motown.
Pre-Concert Drinks
The concert is hosted at the Hamilton in Washington DC, located just two blocks from the White House, near Metro Center. The venue offers two different types of tickets—General Admission Seated and General Admission Bar Area, which is on a first-come basis.We plan to be there at 7:30 pm for pre-concert drinks. The concert starts at 8:00pm and doors open at 6:30pm.
You can opt to buy the General Admission Seated tickets, if you would like to sit and listen to the concert or General Admission Bar Area, which include a limited number of bar stools and high-top tables available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The front row of tables and chairs will be cleared for this show to create a general admission Pit.
