For our next winery exploration we have selected a beautiful, Mediterranean-style winery estate which includes a bistro, tasting room and internal courtyard less than an hour’s drive from Washington DC.

Let's celebrate some nice warm spring weather in a beautiful Tuscan setting.

Wine in a Tuscan Setting

Potomac Point in Northern Virginia nestled amid rolling hills will make you feel as if you’ve entered Tuscany.

Established by Skip and Cindi Causey, in 2007, Potomac Point setting is based on multiple Mediterranean cultures, Italian, French, Spanish as well as American – specifically Napa and New Orleans.

The grape varietals includes Chardonnay, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot.

The winery also has a bistro which offers savory small plates, side salads, cheese platters, chef’s entrees and more.

We will explore their different wines and enjoy a glass or two in the beautiful surrounding.

Note:
  • Dogs are allowed in the tasting room, grounds, in the courtyard, and on the patio.
